We all have dreams of how we see our #dreamlife. In mine, I'm always thin, with beautifully and perfectly styled hair, & a great outfit. I'm happy, feeling confident, & successful. My overall dreams are quite simple. I just want to be (in no particular order):
1. Happy (personally & in my marriage)
5. Supported while supporting others
6. Able to have extra money after bills are fully paid
7. DEBT FREE!
I'm sure I could come up with more, but those would probably just be "things." I'd love to have a house on the beach, or own every shoe I have ever fallen in love with at the store, or a money vault like Scrooge McDuck. Those "things" would be the cherries on top of my #dreamlife ice cream cone.
I am blessed to be in the position I'm currently in and it did not come from not working hard. Every day is a challenge to push myself further & to demand more of myself. Sure, there are days when I don't feel confident, but the quest for a better life must continue. Lately, I've been looking at my Dreamlife and thinking about the steps needed to get me to the place where my dreams reside. A place where I'm confident, successful (which has many meanings on a given day), & pleased with my place in life.
"In order to get where I want to be, I have to JUMP."
No parachute, no fear- there's no turning back!
The other day, I met a wonderful woman who shared with me her dream to open a bakery. She already had a name for her shop & her eyes lit up as she was telling me about the different treats she'd serve. I then asked her, "What's holding you back?" She, after taking a minute to ponder my question, a bewildered look on her face responded, "I don't know." "Jump" I dared her, "You've got a great idea that makes you smile like that, Jump. We both can." She took my advice thoughtfully & I reassured her I was in the same boat, making huge leaps myself. (We had begun talking while I had dared myself to step out of my comfort zone & to tell others of my Wellness Boutique, QB Spa.) We parted ways & I continued on my way, hearing the word "JUMP" resounding in my head. I love encouraging and empowering others to live their best life, but usually, I am reassuring them as well as myself. We're all in this boat together, just trying to move forward. No More looking back or living in fear.
